Every third weekend of May, the charming town of Damascus, Virginia, transforms into a bustling hub for outdoor enthusiasts as it hosts the annual Trail Days celebration. Nestled on the Appalachian Trail, this vibrant community draws in hikers and vacationers alike for an unforgettable weekend of activities, food, and camaraderie.

This year, Vickie and I had the pleasure of attending with Koa, our beloved Anatolian Shepherd dog, and the experience was one we won’t soon forget.

For instance, Osprey’s latest backpack model features a 50-liter capacity and weighs just 3 pounds, making it an attractive option for both short hikes and long treks.
